AVF Expands Benefit Programs for Navision Customers

Starting July 1, 2004, AVF will launch a benefits program for Navision customers who opt to join the club.  Membership in this program will include discounts on services and training classes, free support services, admission to User Group meetings, annual visits and more.  Join Andrew Fass for an important WebCast on Thursday, May 13^th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm for a detailed explanation of what this program is and how your organization can become a member.  Visit http://www.avfconsulting.com/webcast to sign up and reserve your spot for the webcast.

In addition to our special membership program, AVF is kicking off a comprehensive series of 16 training classes beginning in May 2004.  Offered courses are below:

We’ll begin our series on May 11^th with a three day Jet Reports Intensive class.  We offered this class in February and received such a strong response that we’ve decided to offer it again.  June will include 5 training classes from Navision Super User to Object Designer and Report Writer II. 

AVF is always looking for ways to provide our customers with better service and more options so that you can get the most out of Microsoft Navision.  We are excited about these new programs and hope that you find them valuable.

Microsoft Offers Savings!  Add Navision User Sessions and Receive a Discount: Microsoft Navision clients will receive between 10% and 20% off additional user sessions purchased by Thursday, May 6, 2004 (Deadline just extended!). 

·          10% discount for the purchase of 1 additional user

·          15% discount for the purchase of 2 additional users

·          20% discount for the purchase of 3 or more additional users

Jet Reports 3-Day Training, May 11-13th:  Come to a 3-day in-depth training class and leave with the expertise to build a wide variety of Navision reports using Microsoft Excel® and Jet Reports. Not-for-Profit Users’ Conference for Microsoft Navision:  This year’s Serenic Explorations will be held at the Westin Embassy Row in Washington D.C. Why Make a Navison Backup?

Navision backups are made so that there will always be an extra copy of your company data to restore in to the application if a problem should arise with the working copy.  You should make backups for your own sake, but in most countries it is also a legal requirement.  There are several advantages to backing using the Navision backup:

• The system tests that database for errors.

• The data is packed, so it takes up as little space as possible.

• The system calculates how much space the backup will use.

• Other users can continue to work in Navision while you are making the backup.  (It is important to note that SQL locks all tables during backup.) 

You always want to provide AVF Consulting with a current backup of your system.  This will enable your company access to better assistance and quicker support.
