From the President-- Andrew Fass
Microsoft Offers
Savings!
Add Navision User Sessions and Receive a Discount.
AVF is happy to announce that Microsoft is offering
discounts on additional user sessions. We know the importance of
stretching your budget and want to make sure you can take advantage of
this opportunity to save.
Microsoft Navision clients can receive FREE user sessions with
the purchase of additional user sessions between February 15, 2006 and
June 16, 2006. Unfortunately, AVF cannot
discount sessions purchased prior to February 15th.
There is no limitation to the
number of users that can be purchased with
this promotion. This means, for instance, if you buy 8 users at the
regular price, you receive the 9th and 10th user sessions for free.
Don’t wait until the last minute to take advantage of this
offer. Contact Jeremy Fass at jfass@avfconsulting.com or 443-279-1019 to
order.
*Discount applies only to Microsoft Navision license fees and is not
applicable toward the Serenic Navigator or the LS Retail portion of any license fees. |

ChargeLogic - Credit Card Processing for Microsoft Navision
ChargeLogic Is On Its
Way!!
AVF is pleased to
announce the launch of ChargeLogic, a credit card processor developed
specifically for Microsoft Navision. ChargeLogic is in its final
stages of testing and will be available to all customers in the
upcoming weeks.
ChargeLogic gives Navision users the ability to easily and securely
process payments via credit card, debit, gift, EBT, and check cards
using LS Retail or Navision Sales & Receivables.
The seamless integration with Navision sets ChargeLogic apart
from other credit card processors on the market today. This integration
allows for every processed credit card transaction to be automatically
updated in Navision.
Built on a secure XML web services platform using First Data
Merchant Services, ChargeLogic is secure, reliable, and convenient.
ChargeLogic has integrated encryption using industry-approved
techniques so you can rest easy knowing that your customers’ data is
secure. In addition, ChargeLogic is written entirely in C/AL, which
means there is no need to purchase or deploy any third party payment
software, saving you time and money.
Since ChargeLogic works with both LS Retail and Navision Sales &
Receivables, it is an ideal product for Navision users in the retail
industry, as well as distributors who process credit card transactions.
Keep an eye and ear open for the official launch of ChargeLogic coming
in the next few weeks. Until then, please direct any questions or
inquiries for more information to Jon Cooper at
jcooper@avfconsulting.com or 410-296-5100. |

Tip or Trick
Autosplitkey Error
While inserting lines
into a journal or account schedule by pressing the F3 insert key, you
receive the following error message:

This problem occurs if
thirteen new lines have been inserted between two previous journal
lines.
By default, each
journal line number in Navision is the previous line number plus 10000.
In the following image, a line has been inserted between 2 existing
lines. Notice the auto assigned line numbers:

If you insert a line
between two existing lines, the new line number is generated halfway
between the two line numbers. Therefore, you can insert 13 lines
between the two original lines before no available line numbers are left
and the system generates the error.
There is currently no
way to insert more than 13 lines between two previous journal lines. To
resolve this problem, you must add the additional lines to the end of
the journal. |
