AVF Hosts Seminars in Towson and Chevy Chase Showcasing NAV Role Tailored Client.
The Microsoft Dynamics community is abuzz about the productivity improvements of the Role Tailored Client. Customers have found that the Role Tailored Client empowers their employees to work more efficiently and in a way that is more intuitive than any NAV version to date. On April 20th, AVF will host the first of four free seminars showcasing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 at our headquarters in Towson, MD. The second set of presentations will take place on April 29th at Microsoft's offices in Chevy Chase, MD. The morning sessions are specifically for nonprofit clients using Serenic Navigator for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the afternoon sessions are for organizations using Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Both sessions will cover the benefits of the RTC, technology, hardware, hosting, upgrades, and the customization process. This is a great opportunity to network with peers while seeing the software in person, demonstrated by AVF's professionals. Come and see why it's time to make a change. Register for the event here or see more information about the sessions in the events section of the newsletter. If you have any questions, contact Lori Ricard at lricard@avfconsulting.com. |
Reminder: If You Are Not On Maintenance, There Is Still Time To Take Advantage of Microsoft's Forgiveness Offer.
Beginning June 1, 2010, Microsoft will require that all customers be enrolled in a Business Ready Enhancement Plan when making additional license purchases on supported versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, LS Retail, and Serenic Navigator. This means that customers must be current on their maintenance plans for Microsoft to process any orders for additional users or modules. Microsoft and LS Retail Offer Maintenance Forgiveness If you are not enrolled in the Business Ready Enhancement Plan, but would like to add users or modules, please be aware that licenses must be purchased by May 31, 2010. After that date, you will no longer be able to purchase licenses of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, LS Retail, or Serenic Navigator until you re-enroll in the Business Ready Enhancement Plan. Microsoft's Business Ready Enhancement plan is a program that was created to provide customers access to innovative functionality upgrades and important updates that help ensure their solution is compliant and performing at the highest level. Re-enrolling means your organization can regain unlimited access to online training material to technical information, right at your fingertips through Microsoft's CustomerSource. This can help improve your team's performance, increasing return on your investment. It also provides you with comprehensive online support and services to mitigate potential issues. Microsoft and LS Retail recognize that this policy change may cause more of a burden for customers who have been off of maintenance for a long period of time and are offering customers the chance to re-enroll for a discounted rate. Customers who re-enroll in the Business Ready Enhancement Plan by May 31, 2010, will save 50% on their back pay. Re-enrolling by May 31 will also eliminate all late and penalty fees. Please note that Serenic customers are not eligible for this promotion. If you have any questions or would like to discuss re-enrolling in the Business Ready Enhancement plan, please contact Jeremy Fass at 410-296-5100. |

Opening List Pages in a New Window - Role Tailored Interface
Opening a list page in the Role Tailored Client will embed the page in your normal interface. What if you want to navigate through the system while keeping the list page open? In a few steps, you can open the list page in an entirely new window. Step 1: Open the List Page (it will be embedded) Step 2: Select Open in New Window from the Actions Drop Down. There you have it, the window has been released from its embedded state. If you prefer shortcut keys, pressing Ctrl+Shift+W on the list page will do the same thing.
You are now free to navigate through the system without closing the released list page.
