Pottsgrove School District Selects Microsoft Dynamics NAV
AVF Consulting is Excited to Welcome Pottsgrove to their Growing Group of Pennsylvania School District Clientele

Baltimore, MD – May 16, 2007 – Pottsgrove School District has selected Microsoft Gold Certified partner, AVF Consulting, Inc. to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a fully integrated financial and human resources management solution. Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, Pottsgrove is home to over 3,000 students and employs 675 teachers, staff and faculty.

"Microsoft Dynamics NAV was the best choice for Pottsgrove because it offers our school district the flexibility and reliability of a software system more typically used in the commercial world, but with the features and functionality required by a school district," says David Nester, business manager for Pottsgrove.

After many years of serving as a CPA in public practice, Nester is intimately familiar with software systems used by both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Nester knew that those systems were much more comprehensive and flexible than what was being used in the public school environment. Pottsgrove reviewed both Pentamation and Microsoft Dynamics GP among other solutions typically used by school districts. Ultimately, they chose Microsoft Dynamics NAV after seeing it in use at Owen J. Roberts, a nearby school district.

Like many other school districts, incorporating strong reporting capabilities while keeping the solution cost effective were also key selling points for Pottsgrove.

With this new system, Pottsgrove hopes to create a more efficient operating system for the school district to help improve their overall effectiveness.
