AIPAC Purchases Serenic Navigator Financial Management Software to Address Growth and Changing Accounting Rules
AVF Consulting Chosen to Perform AIPAC’s Implementation

August 5, 2010—Baltimore, MD— The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has chosen AVF Consulting, a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and Serenic Partner of Excellence, to implement Serenic Navigator built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.  With over 100,000 members, 250 staff people at 10 regional offices and nine satellite offices in the United States, AIPAC has worked since the 1950’s to enact public policy that strengthens the U.S.-Israel relationship. The organization’s need for new financial management software propelled them to a Microsoft solution that would meet all of their requirements.

AIPAC and its affiliate AIEF, American Israel Education Foundation, utilized two disparate accounting systems and wanted to move both organizations to a single, cohesive financial management system. AIPAC’s recent growth and their desire to increase accountability required that they have the ability to access data quickly and communicate that information to managers and staffers more efficiently.  With changes in IRS, USGAAP and SOX rules and regulations, AIPAC was required to implement daily time sheets to better collect, track and allocate employee time. The new system also had to easily interface with AIPAC’s other systems, provide an integrated web-based business intelligence solution, and manage grants, endowments, and trusts.

AIPAC chose Serenic Navigator for its ability to handle the complex fund, program, and cost allocation accounting requirements needed by AIPAC.  Two highlights of the product are Serenic’s Time Entry Web Portal and its business intelligence reporting tools.  The Time Entry Portal will enable AIPAC to comply with changing accounting rules and regulations, while eliminating inefficient, manual accounting processes.  The system will provide information more quickly by collecting data via integrated web-based time entry, efficiently processing it using Serenic’s robust accounting features, and returning it to the field through web-based reporting and business intelligence.
