"We chose a Microsoft product because we were assured of the future growth and development of the solution." --Robert Krizansky, Hazleton Area School District.
Baltimore, MD – March 7, 2007 – Microsoft Gold Certified partner, AVF Consulting, Inc. announces the addition of Hazleton Area School District to their family of customers. Located in northeastern Pennsylvania, Hazleton is home to over 10,000 students and employs 1,374 teachers, staff and faculty. AVF Consulting will implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV for Hazleton, giving them a completely integrated financial management and human resources solution.
"We chose a Microsoft product because we were assured of the future growth and development of the solution," said Robert Krizansky, assistant business manager for Hazleton Area School District. "Our team reviewed a number of the standard solutions available to Pennsylvania schools, but Microsoft Dynamics NAV provided the flexibility to customize the software to meet our specific needs."
"While many of the standard software packages offer all the state reporting requirements, none offered the flexibility, integration and reliability that we found in Microsoft Dynamics NAV," says Krizansky. "Having a Microsoft product also makes it easier to transfer data to Excel and offers a familiar user interface, which means less training and adaptation time for our users."
Hazleton had been using CIMS III for IBM AS 400, a UNIX based platform, for the last several years. In 2006, Krizansky led his team’s search for a new solution which started with a review of several of the standard solutions used by other Pennsylvania school districts.
"With both Owen J. Roberts and Hazleton Area School Districts as our clients, AVF believes that we have a strong understanding of the reporting and payroll requirements of Pennsylvania school districts," says Andrew Fass, CEO and president of AVF Consulting. "This will be our second implementation in a Pennsylvania school district and with this engagement, we will complete our standard PA school package, which will include all Pennsylvania state reporting requirements."
Krizansky was also impressed with the fact that Hazleton’s local auditors use, support and provide consulting for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. "Finally, and possibly most importantly, Microsoft Dynamics NAV fit into our budget."
The Hazleton implementation is set to go live in July 2007. AVF is excited to work with Hazleton and several other Pennsylvania school districts that have indicated that they too plan to choose Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
